Calvin A. Magnan | Executive Director & Administrator

Calvin was born on November 1st, 2002. Starting his literary journey early in his teens, he has been writing in various genres and formats for nearly ten years. Calvin got his start writing for the SCP Foundation. In his spare time, he plays the Fallout games (including modding them and running a community) or burns himself out on something else.

Originally attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University for Aerospace Engineering, he withdrew to pursue his dream of creative literature. Calvin currently works 3 jobs to achieve his goal of building this company into a full-time career for him and his best friend Ryan, with the end goal of revolutionizing the publishing world and returning creativity to its non-commercial roots.

At Carminica, Calvin does all the administrative work, including but not limited to: legal, business, math/accounting, infrastructural development and maintenance, & publishing registration. Calvin also does significant creative work too, contributing as a writer or editor to many projects (or his own!) and commonly does graphic design work— he is also the one that made the website!

Calvin is the Executive Director & Administrator of Carminica Obsidion Collective, as well as the President and Chief Executive Officer. He is the leader of the Directorate. Contact: calvin.magnan@carminica.com

Ryan Micah Traugh, also known as R.M.T, was born in '03 in Anchorage Alaska. He’s always been a child in love with stories, from the ones his momma and godmom told, to the ones he would read, and now to the ones he writes. Some of his favorites include Monty Oum's Rwby (and his work on Red Versus Blue!), Hyun's Dojo collabs, and lastly (but he would argue most importantly) Mortal Kombat 9 and the Spectacular Spider-man series.

One of Ryan’s main traits is his passion. To provide some context, he has enough passion that he once walked through a blizzard just to attend a meeting. Speaking of passion, his inspiration to write is based on passion too, specifically spite. Spite of the modern comic book and manga industry, spite of corporations pushing slop media and presenting it as being inclusive whilst being entirely disingenuous and tone deaf, spite of (in simple terms) mediocrity being passed of as the norm in his personal (and unhumble) opinion.

At Carminica, R.M.T is the co-creator of our foundational publication Amidst the Rapture and is the company-wide Creative Director, ensuring creativity and good vibes have a seat in the Directorate. Whether he’s working or not, he can often be found with his co-founding business partner, his near and dear friend Calvin— whom he affectionately refers to as "Calveroni" or the "Calzone".

R.M.T is the Creative Director & Vice President of Carminica Obsidion Collective, as well as the Chief Author of Amidst The Rapture.
