SiWLY: We became an LLC!
Since We Last Yapped, we became an LLC! We have been busy (moreso than normal) doing a lot of writing and of course infrastructural work; what else is new? Not rhetorical btw, here’s the answer:

The following is a message composed via consensus of the— wait, wrong organization. Sorry for that, and sorry for not chatting with y’all for a minute! My name is Calvin and I am the Executive Director of Carminica Obsidion Collective. This is our first SiWLY, or “Since We Last Yapped,” which is going to be our name for the articles that are really late. I hope you think it is an adequate sibling to ThWaC. Regardless, Since We Last Yapped we became an LLC, did a lot of writing, and have been having an all-around good time.
For the past 5+ years of operation, Carminica has been a partnership between myself and the other Directors. It still is of course, but I mean “partnership” in legal terms; that’s what the business was classified as. We decided to change ourselves over to an LLC recently to better serve our role now that we are out and publicly advertising. It has been fun to do all the paperwork (not really but it wasn’t that bad).
I’ve been hard at work with my research duties now that I’m back in the saddle with the Foundation. I think y’all will like what I’ve been cooking up— since I am a veteran of the Foundation I’m [REDACTED] familiar with [DATA EXPUNGED]. All of my new articles will be long and be heavily focused on parascience, with research materials included to back it up. As a side note, I’ve hidden a new easter egg. Contact me if you find it!
To round us out, we had a great presentation recently and are seeking investment. As per our purpose, we are not seeking cash in exchange for equity. That will never change; it’s written into our founding documents. Speaking of our founding, we are almost 6 years old! Wish us a happy birthday this coming January.
As I say at the end of all of these, I hope that these articles are a place where people can get an idea about who we are as company and have fun reading them.
